Charity Chicks are proud to help support Team Emery another year by collecting new teddy bears for kids confined to the hospital for the holidays. Never underestimate the power of a positive moment in the healing process.
Emery Miller was born with Congenital Heart Defects, undergoing four open-heart surgeries before the age of seven. When he was in the 5th grade, a simple Christmas wish of wanting to pay it forward and donate one teddy bear to a sick child has transformed into an organization located in 14 states, and has impacted nearly 62,000 families since 2011.
His mission is to offer hope and encouragement to families and children who have been in a similar situation.
When we heard his story, we wanted to be a part of it and have helped collect bears to contribute to his efforts every year, making us the longest participant in his annual campaign. It’s amazing to be a small part of something so big.
We are collecting NEW bears at the Inner Circle Cafe now through December 18th.
